Check out what people have to say about Higherground Brewery in Hamilton, Montana.
Such a fun place! So mad I didn’t take a picture of the amazing beer flights– 8 of them, as well as the lively decor! The corn bacon chowder was outstanding, as well as the salads with unique salad dressing. Loved the pizzas too, of course. And the beer– wow- I usually have about one beer a year, but I loved these unique creations! Friendly service and an all around great experience.
Everything about it is amazing. I crave their food and miss it so much now that I’ve moved.
For sure going back next time I’m in town!
“Best pizza and salad, with a good beer!”
Love the pizza! Thai Pie is a favorite with a ginormous side salad – get the entrée size to share. The noise level can make it a little hard to converse, but it’s a brew pub so can’t be too critic on this. And the beer…great selection and always a new one to try. Great staff – always friendly, helpful and fast.
Just found my new favorite brewery in the bitterroot.
Great selection and an amazing IPAa.
Liked the Dry Fly IPA so much we ordered up a growler of it to go!
Grabbed lunch on the go and really enjoyed the house salad (great selection of dressings), soup and bread.
Can’t wait to go back again with friends and family to try the pizza.
“Best Lunch Spot in the Bitterroot”
We have 10 restaurant choices in the Hamilton, and HG as we affectionately call it, became our favorite. The soups brought us in …. tomato basil, corn chowder, Thai curry lentil, black bean, and the salads kept us coming back over and over. Caesar or the house salad are perfection, and for an extra dollar we at chicken or pepperoni. The best part is that they always get us in and out in a half hour. Of course you can order a pizza…and my friends love the Thai chicken pizza most of all…and they are a brewery with all that goes with that. We come for the lunch menu. Enjoy!
“Fast, fresh food and good beer”
Interesting pizza options (BBQ chicken with spicy cabbage… who would have thought my kids would love this??), good beer. Low-key, casual joint (paper plates and order-at-the-counter-and-go-get-your-beer-at-the-bar) that got loud as the dinner hour went on. Appeared to be full of locals. Salad and pizza were all good. Staff was friendly. We don’t eat a lot of pizza/bread products, but would happily return here if we’re in town again.
We stopped here for lunch on the way by and it was a nice surprise, great food and great beer.
We had to beer sampler which was 6 of the regular selections and 2 of the seasonals.
We paired that with 2 pizzas that were handcrafted and very delicious, we took some slices home as it would be sacrilidge to leave them behind
This pub has a fun ambiance, good selection of beers, and very good food. I was expecting “pub grub” quality, but the salad was gigantic (one was split by the 4 of us) as well as fresh, and the pizzas (varied & interesting selections) were delicious. Orders were placed at the food counter (and delivered to your table when ready) and then a separate line for ordering beers – was a little confusing to those of us who are not locals – I don’t know if this is a Montana thing – but one-stop-shopping would be nice. However, I will definitely return and highly recommend this brewery.
